My name is Sergei Dudnik. I'm 24. I live in Kiev. I was beaten Dec. 16, 2013. I went to buy food at the same store every day. Security guards from food shop beat me because they know that I am a gay activist. I'm known on the internet. They beat me and told me that I am a girl, fagot and a pedophile.
I am publishing a gay magazine for 5 years. I was an orphan and I have no registration. I can not obtain a passport for foreign travel. Ukraine - a concentration camp. I live in a prison. I do not have any rights.
If you go to the police and say you were beaten up because you are gay, they will not only find a reason to open a criminal case. Also, the whole police department will gather to look at the ‘faggot.’ Police injure or kill you after a while.
Eastern Europeans bring this mentality with them when they immigrate to America and elsewhere in The West.
We should urge the government of the Ukraine to proceed with passing equal protection legislation for all of its citizens. This behavior can't possibly be something they're proud of, nor will the Western Europeans that they so desire to cluster with, tolerate it.
Every single LGBT person who is out in these communities are extremely brave, and especially the activists, where simply walking outside your house could see you get beaten and killed.
Let get together as million gay men to beat up a tiny group of stupid nazi-wannabes!
Keep going Ukrainian gays and lesbians! You are the true heroes of today's Ukraine unlike the billionaires in your prisons.
